I enjoy reading because I find it to be very interesting. I have been reading for my entire life and have always liked it. I have been able to read at very high levels ever since I was a young kid. I was able to read before the age of 2, and since I had a much higher reading than all of the other kids at my preschool/kindergarten, my principal had to bring in books just for me that were at my level. I find reading very fun to do because I can forget about the rest of the world while I do it and put all of my attention to reading. I have enjoyed reading because it helps me gain knowledge and it helps me to grow my vocabulary. Sometimes I only read books though if my friends do because I want to be able to be similar to them and be able to talk about more things with them. Reading, for me, has been something that I have always been surrounded by due to the fact that my family is always reading books and going to the book store to buy more books. It has been one of my favorite things to do to pass the time ever since I was a little kid as well.

Entry Four
Entry Four: Eleanor & Park
Out of all of the choices that I could have picked from, I chose this book because I've heard from a friend of mine that it was so good that it changed her life forever. She said nothing but good things about it, and when I saw that it was on the list, I decided to go for it and see what it was all about. I was blown away by how good it was. This book, has to be in my top three books that I've ever read. It was so interesting and unique and different from other books. The way the book was set up made me personally feel as if I had a strong connection with both of the main characters and I can't recall a single time I have had this happened with any other book. I can not personally relate to this book since it is about a girl who changes schools and is the new kid, but I strongly request that if you are nervous about going to a new school and making new friends, that you read this book because it will give you hope. This book was absolutely amazing.

Entry Three: Eleanor & Park
I don't think that the author has a strict intent to "hook" the reader in any way, except for the way she set up the book. The author set up the book so it allows one of the chapters to be strictly about one character in the book and get a full insight into their thoughts. This is what kept me hooked on reading this book because I found it very interesting. I have never read a book that has a layout like this, and since the author did this, I feel like I understand the characters much better than I would in any other ordinary book. Usually when I read books, I have a hard time connecting with the characters and understanding them, but not in this book. This book made me feel as if I actually knew the characters, almost as if they were friends of mine. This is probably one of my favorite books that I have ever read and it was due to the way that it was set up. It made me also, along with understanding the characters, understand the story line and setting of the story as well. It was a very interesting way that the author set up this whole book and I really enjoyed it.
